No Bothering You
02:30
|
|||
couldn't find my ticket and my license again
lost my passport too
could be getting stuck here in Amsterdam
but there's no bothering you
filled up the sink with dirty dishes again
walked in with mud on my shoes
I sure can make a mess of our house and my head
but there's no bothering you
you don't care, you're cool
you walk around acting like you're nobodies fool
and I care, yes I do
in fact I think I even care enough for two
took the wrong direction and I made us late
got pulled over too
I get nervous and deteriorate
but there's no bothering you
but there's no bothering you
but there's no bothering you

Fool's Gold (Denver)
03:22
|
|||
Denver is a woman who has used you and is done with you
Denver is a one way ticket home
Cowgirls working Colfax with delusions and decisions to make
let's go to Denver and rush for fool's gold
Denver gets you drunk on just your breathing
and believing that the busted broken bits of you are whole
doing laundry making plans it feels like nothing ever changes
let's go to Denver and rush for fool's gold
Let's go somewhere warm and dry
we'll find some peace of mind
or maybe just get high
at least I'll try
though I don't know why
my, oh my, oh my
Denver wants to love you when there's money in your pocket
first she'll sell you 'till you think you're bought and sold
I'm still drawn to shiny things like love and hope and Denver
let's go to Denver and rush for fool's gold
let's go to Denver and rush for fool's gold
let's go to Denver and rush for fool's gold

Lonely, Wasted and Blue
02:43
|
|||
It's quarter to two I called to say I'm thinking of you
I slurred, you guessed that I'd been drinking too
I'm lonely, wasted
Lonely, wasted and blue
Your sleeping voice answering the telephone
sweetly saying it's okay made me feel alone
I'm lonely, wasted
Lonely, wasted and blue
Missing your hair as it lies on the pillow
makes me mind
things I left behind
but the bus keeps rolling on
and I'll be up 'til dawn
A couple of states, two shows and an allergy
Won't come between it finally being you and me
I'm lonely, wasted
Lonely, wasted and blue
Lonely, wasted and blue
Lonely wasted and blue
wasted and blue
wasted for you

Mexico
04:41
|
|||
there's a trail of tears that lead back to a broken heart
and the pages of a letter that are torn apart
by the look that's in your eyes
as you're telling me good-bye
I might as well go to Mexico
they have pretty senoritas and cervesa there
I can lose my crashed relationship and hurt somewhere
in a puddle on a bar
as I wonder where you are
I might as well go to Mexico
well I might as well go to Mexico
walk right through the gates at San Ysidro
far away from here
where my future disappeared
I might as well go to Mexico
There's a trail of tears that leads back to an empty home
peeking through the windows now I'm all alone
and there's nothing left inside
and nowhere left to hide
I might as well go to Mexico
well I might as well go to Mexico
walk right through the gates at San Ysidro
far away from here
where my future disappeared
I might as well go to Mexico
I might as well go to Mexico
walk right through the gates at San Ysidro
far away from here
where my future disappeared
I might as well go to Mexico

Someone Again
03:48
|
|||
I don't know but I've been told
the streets of Hollywood are lined with souls
from Virginia and Florida... Pittsburgh, P.A.
they drove all the way
and I've got blisters on my feet
from hanging out all day across the street
from the hotel where I stay whenever I play the game
they know my name
and I'm someone
sign my name and I'm someone again
all they have to say is, "how will you be paying?"
and I'm someone again
someone's friend
Lately I've missed old times
from Jovenita to Coney Island
and I wonder when they see my face up on the screen
will they make my scene
when I'm someone
see my name and I'm someone again
all they have to say is, "where will you be playing?"
and I'm someone again
someone's friend
it's quarter to two and I'm falling
calling, crawling back to you
where I'm someone
say my name and I'm someone again
all you have to say is, "how long will you be staying?"
and I'm someone again
someone's friend
someone's friend
someone's friend

Something Here
02:47
|
|||
knowing that you're good at it scares me to my bones
you could be doing it right now
you look at me and lie
but there's tear drops in your eyes
saying, "let it go, I swear it's nothing"
but I think I know and I swear there's something here
something here
lately there's a difference between what you say you feel
and what it is you feel you have to do
I come around the corner
you're in someone else's arms
but I've got to know and I swear there's something here
something here
I only want a conversation but you
but you just speak your mind
now without an explanation
it's all been wasted time
blows my mind
wasted time
I go a little crazy I can be a little blind
you love who I am and who I will be
maybe in the morning I'll convince my weary mind
to let it go and swear there's nothing
but I think I know and I swear there's something
I've got to know, God, is there something here
something here
well there's something here, something there
something of us everywhere
something here that I can't see
there's something here of you and me
there's something here, something here
something here, something here
